Dr. John Nieters gives viewers some great tips and things to consider when searching for an acupuncture practitioner.

Below is a general outline of the tips Dr. John Nieters shared…

As the former president of the 3rd oldest acupuncture college in the United States and a professor of acupuncture for over 20 years, I do understand the importance of knowing how to choose an acupuncturist.

The problem is that it’s very difficult for the general public to identify a good acupuncture practitioner.

Patients want an acupuncturist who is emphatic, who has experience with their specific problem, and who has successfully treated patients with that condition. With so many choices available, it can be a tough search.

I’d like to give a few tips to finding a great acupuncturist in Alameda.

My first tip is to find a specialist for your condition. By doing so, you will save a great deal of time, energy and money. No matter what you’re looking for, you want to get the best.

Another tip is to choose an integrated practice that can wisely utilize multiple modalities. Western diagnostics combined with extremely effective and safe treatment principles of Chinese medicine can achieve amazing results.

Lastly, choose a practitioner who focuses on prevention of disease. Many diseases can be caught and addressed before patients need pharmaceuticals and other aggressive intervention.
