Cardiology 5 Class:

This course is part five of a 15-part series. Part five of this course will empower the participant with an understanding of how to perform a comprehensive diagnostic exam in their clinic and to rule out possible cardiovascular issues. Diagnostic exam will include a dozen conditions that can be detected by a visual examination of with a greater competence using a stethoscope, examination of superficial veins on the feet, legs, torso and neck, and blood pressure examination.

  • Review of location of the cardiac valves and the differentiation of sounds relating to those valves including: sinus rhythm, murmurs, rubs and gallops.
  • Differential palpation of the radial artery locations including: palpation and observation of the carotid arteries, palpation and observation of the saphenous veins and other venous structure of the feet and lower legs.
  • Diagnosis and monitoring of hypovolemia
  • Biochemistry and treatment of hypovolemia.
