Transcript from Webinar:

Hello, there. Good afternoon. According to my clock, it is Tuesday afternoon and I’m here to spend some time with you. And I don’t know how long a time that will be probably over half an hour and under an hour. And you’re welcome to tune me out. Any time this is recorded. You can always pick it up at other times, and I’ll try to make it interesting for you. And to stay. We’ve been actually getting pretty good turnout, pretty good crowds. And so before I go into the rest of the webinar, a couple of things.

If you’re looking for the young, handsome guy. Go check out Dr. Josh. OK, because you’re stuck with the old guy here. All right now, the value of that is the old guy’s been around a long time and I’ve seen a lot, a lot, a lot of stuff. So there is some advantage in that.

I want to give some thanks a lot of thanks and order here. First, I want to thank Rose. If any of you needs a good business coach or personal life coach and you want someone, definitely send me an email and I’ll give you Rose’s information. She’s fabulous. She’s been helping us get these webinars together so that we can actually get them posted some to some places other than just on our account.

So she’s been working with Facebook. Hopefully this is going to be this particular episode will be on Facebook. And it looks like it is. So give you some more sources for information. So I want to thank you. Many of you. Many, many, many have suggested the webinar to your friends and families, and so we’re getting a lot of people signing up based on your recommendations, which we really appreciate the.

Also want to thank you because I couldn’t do this without you. There wouldn’t be any point. And also, thank you for your great, great questions. And please, please keep sending us questions. That’s what we kind of function off of. Not even kind of that is what we function off of. And I’m going to be answering questions today. Those of you who have listened to me for a while and even those of you haven’t listened to me very long.

You know, I can take a very simple question and run with it for a really long time. If I think it’s relevant and important to your health, to our health, to our objectives, and I’m happy to do that. So I have a bunch of questions written down here today on my trusty notebook, and I will get into those again. If you have questions, you can always send them now. We’ll see if we can work them into the show. If not, will at least have them for next week. And again, I’m happy to do this.

00:02:51:02

First question is kind of fun. It’s basically because it’s very damp today. Here in the Bay Area, it was raining, the barometric pressures all over the place and this person says, Why am I a human barometer? I hurt more when it’s raining. That’s a great question. Now there are so many things in medicine that just tend to get overlooked and the Chinese in there really pretty much infinite wisdom going back. Twenty five hundred years ago really looked at a lot of issues differently and with a greater level of perception than we do now.

Now we love the scientific method. It’s fabulous. It’s a wonderful way to experiment and deal with apparent reality. However, it’s not the only thing. And so I’m actually going to read for a minute at the, you know, hope I don’t put you to sleep, but I think this is really fascinating. I mentioned that when people ask me, you know, what’s the best book on health? You know, what should I read this week? Should it be Dave Asprey? Should it be Jason Fong? You know who is a I’d be reading.

I say it depends on how many books you’re going to read. If we’re going to read one hundred, then we can start any number of places. I said, if you’re only going to read one, then start with the Yellow Emperor’s Classic of medicine. And that’s this book right here by Mao Zedong. Me. There are other translations. The thing about these ancient Chinese works is that they are designed to be a little bit cryptic. So historically, if someone was a scholar writing eight hundred years ago and you wrote a sentence, if you were really a great writer, then in that sentence you would both have something that’s very tangible, real, definable and something heavy, deep cosmological.

And that meant you were a great writer. So with the Huang being aging there, you can have an infinite number of translations. You can do it character by character, which doesn’t give you much information, really, or you can read into it from a knowledge base in this case. Dr. NI is a Ph.D. and also a practitioner of Chinese medicine. And so when he looks at this, he’s really looking to maximize the health benefits. So I’m just going to read a couple of things I won’t read too long, I promise you.

But the first one is actually Dr. NI speaking about his orientation coming into the medicine. It says

I didn’t have full appreciation for the aging at an early age, despite having been exposed to it through my father, who was a famous doctor, as well as through other Chinese classics. And he, of course, read Chinese and read these classics in Chinese after an education and apprenticeship in Chinese medicine and philosophy. I ventured on to study Western medicine, psychology and physics pretty well rounded through the Western science, I gained an understanding.

For the pertinence of the wisdom outlined. In Chinese medicine, very interesting that it was the Western medicine that drove him back into studying the book.

Furthermore, after I began my clinical practice of Chinese medicine, I became profoundly impressed by what the agent ancients had already understood thousands of years ago.

The observations of the Naging were stunningly scientific. Its contents are as relevant for life in the 20th century as they were two millennia ago. Now when we’re looking here at discoveries and breakthroughs, I have a book called The Genius of China, which I’ve mentioned before. And in that book, it’s chapter by chapter. Different areas of study done by the ancient Chinese, and one of those is on medicine and in the section on medicine.

There are drawings of the circulatory system, right the heart, the arteries, the veins, the blood vessels that were done about 2000 years ago. Not those things were not understood until 15 16 hundred, depending on how you want to give credit in the West. Right. So the Chinese were fifteen hundred years, at least ahead of that. The Chinese were making human growth hormone and testosterone supplements.

Fifteen hundred years ago, I actually have the recipe. You take a certain amount of young pubescent boys urine. You put it in a cauldron, you heat it at a particular temperature, which was the temperature was understood by the color because they didn’t have thermometers. But it was the color of the heat. And you cook that down until you end up with a pasty like substance. You mix that with honey and date honey, and you give it to old men and they suddenly get regenerated.

Well, what was happening? These pubescent boys were just overflowing with testosterone. They were overflowing with human growth hormone. And the Chinese learned how to to cook off the heat, the urine and the water off of it, while preserving the enzymes of the testosterone and human growth hormone perfectly. So what they were making 1500 years ago is actually better, more authentic than what you could get if you go to your doctor today.

So this kind of stuff, they were incredibly advanced. It’s very difficult to even understand how they could have known what they what they knew. OK, now this is the important part. The neighboring of the Yellow Emperor is one of the most important classics of Daoism. So Daoism, Taoism or other spellings the is really manifesting ideas about the universe and going with the flow of nature and of life.

So first, it gives a holistic picture of human life. It doesn’t separate external changes geographic, climate, seasonal, for instance, for internal changes such as emotions and our responses to them. That’s very interesting. This is completely foreign to most Western medicine. It tells how our way of life and our environment affect our health. Now we’re seeing massive amounts of work being done on environmental issues and how they affect our life.

Now again, the Chinese were doing that thousands of years ago. We’re just kind of catching up, and we are becoming very aware how these environmental toxins, these environmental influences are either helping create good health or destroying our health. OK. Without going into fine detail, the Naging articulates a treasure of ancient knowledge concerning the natural way to help. Implying that all phenomena, not phenomena of the world, stimulate to unify, subdue or depress one’s natural life force.

OK, so I’m going to start with that. And now I’m going to talk about why we act like barometers. So the Chinese and other cultures too, but the Chinese did the most writing and their writing has been carried forward. We’re very clear that what occurs on the inside of our bodies is exactly the same type of change that’s happening on the outside of our bodies. And they developed a system which is often called five elements, which is a misnomer.

00:11:00:23

It’s really the five phases or changes that we go through and how the different organs of the body are related to those changes. Well, one of those elements or phases has to do with dampness. And so when dampness prevails, which it does at certain times of the year winter, there’s a lot of dampness out here right now. It also affects the dampness internally in the body. Now there’s good research that’s happened over the last decade or two, showing that when the barometer changes, right, so the high pressure comes in or a low pressure zone comes in, that the death rate increases. Either way, goes up or down.

The death rate increases because those changes cause changes in our bodies and then the very cellular structure and tissues of our body. So just think about it. So all organisms, all organisms are sensitive to pressure, right? Some organisms can only live on the surface of the planet above water. Some can live in the water at certain depths and some can live it very, very deep depths. It depends on how they’re structurally, structurally created to deal with that pressure.

Well, humans are designed to live at the pressure at around sea level and a little bit above it. And if we’re in good health of a very good health and we’re properly moving fluids in our system, then those systems, those fluids don’t tend to build up excessively in any particular area of the body. They’re just moving freely, moving freely. But most of us aren’t in that level of perfect health. The fluids do not move freely.

And in Chinese medicine and also in diabetic, they use different terms. But it’s the same idea dampness, congeals, dampness, collects. Now you can see this certainly if someone has edema where there’s swelling of their ankles or swelling of their knees, et cetera. But on a less obvious level, we are still congealing those fluids. Now, when the barometer, when a high pressure comes in, OK, that high pressure puts more pressure on our bodies.

00:13:25:20

And so the tissue actually gets compressed. Now, if you have swelling in the knee and you get compression around that knee from the exterior, you’re going to have pain. There’s not enough room for that fluid to move. Your blood’s not going to move properly because the dampness is impeding the flow. The tissue swells, which presses on the blood vessels, so then the blood doesn’t flow as freely as it would otherwise. And if it’s a low pressure, it’s exactly the opposite.

And the tissue swells because there’s not as much pressure on it. And that then puts pressure on other body structures as the tissues actually swell and cause more pressure in the joints, et cetera. So that’s why people feel like barometers. They actually are no different. It’s basically the same thing that makes a barometer move, right? The atmospheric pressure makes their body functions change according to the amount of dampness and other elements that are occurring there.

00:14:34:08

So it’s a really much bigger deal than people make it. In fact, this morning I’ve had some pretty significant knee swelling for the last couple of weeks, been a little hard to walk, even I overworked at the gym. You know, I forget that I’m not 30 anymore. Overall, the my leg got small in my knee got swollen, and now I’m particularly at the effect of barometric pressure. And today was a difficult day in the Bay Area. We have again, we had rain, we had more changes in pressure.

And so I’ve been limping around a little more than usual today. So that’s why you feel like a barometer now. In Chinese medicine, dampness is considered a pathogenic factor. So if I sit down to diagnose somebody and I detect significant dampness, that’s one of the first things I would treat. Because that dampness untreated will cause diabetes, it will cause high cholesterol. It will cause this whole range of illnesses as that dampness congealed because human beings by nature are warm.

We’re hot, right? Well, what happens if you get a lot of dampness and you apply some heat to it, right? It becomes a Fleming substance in Chinese medicine. Phlegm is created by the juncture of heat would often inflammation is a form of heat. Infection is a form of heat being alive as a form of heat so that. Combination of heat with excess dampness will cause phlegm.

And so we will, as Chinese practitioners, medicine practitioners will want to clear the phlegm.

Excuse me. There’s that phlegm again. OK, so anyway, thank you for that question. That’s a great question.

00:16:34:00

Great question, because if listened to beyond just the kind of fun stuff of it starts moving us into how to live our lives. So if you want to be healthy and you have excess dampness, don’t ignore it. Take steps now in Chinese medicine that’s often caused by spleen chi deficiency. So there’s a lack of energy in the system, a lack of motive force to move that amnesty. So on a western side, that could be congestive heart failure.

It could be some other form of heart failure. It could easily. And one of the more common causes of that from a Western standpoint, is a thyroid difficulty. And always remember that while I don’t remember, but as an example, when I teach thyroid pathologies to doctoral students of Chinese medicine, I will point out that as we’re starting that hypothyroid not not hyper, but hypothyroid has 27 different diagnostic possibilities and eight major ones.

00:17:44:15

So there are eight major one with some little subclasses, but those eight are critically important. And generally, one of them gets well diagnosed in the western medical system. One, you know, fair. And so if the thyroid is actually failing, right, it’s just not, you know, it’s not working. That’s often caught with a thyroid stimulating hormone test. And maybe they follow up and do a few more things and treat it with levothyroxine sodium or Synthroid generally pretty effective.

It’s a very inexpensive drug. It’s a very, very safe drug. And if that’s the problem, it’ll work. However, if it’s autoimmune, thyroid, thyroid peroxidase, peroxidase elevations, anti-viral globulin elevations, et cetera, and there are a few others, then well, you can get the TSA number to look good. You’re not really treating the condition because of levothyroxine sodium.

In no way treats the autoimmune thyroid problems. That’s why when a when a patient comes to me and says, Oh, my doctor says, I’ve got Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, I say, OK, now let’s look a little deeper to see what we have to do to get rid of the Hashimoto’s or at least control that, because that is in some ways almost a separate issue from the TSA age. They’re really the Western medical system. Almost nobody actually treats Hashimoto’s.

They treat the low thyroid condition, which does not treat the Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Hashimoto’s. There’s a huge correlation with diet, with other inflammatory factors, with both Hashimoto’s and Great Graves disease graves being the hyper thyroid basic equivalent of Hashimoto’s being the hypo. You’ll see a lot of patients will swing back and forth between Hashimoto’s and Graves, and it just depends on what their thyroid their age is showing at a given moment, what they call it.

But both can be caused by autoimmune problems. Now those are two of the problems. There are six more major ones. For example, the thyroid.

00:20:08:02

Is stimulated by thyroid stimulating hormone from the pituitary gland, so the hypothalamus in the center of your brain is the control room, it’s constantly reading your temperature and your blood levels of different hormones, chemicals, etc. Then it has a little closed loop system to the pituitary, and the pituitary sends out trophic hormones. Thyroid stimulating hormone right follicle stimulating hormone with these hormones that cause something else to happen.

Well, that causes primarily a release of T4. T4 is four atoms of iodine connected by tyrosine, so they call it T4. Now, tea for about 90 percent of the original thyroid hormone released is T4. Awesome. T4 is not very bioactive. It has to get converted to T3, it loses an iodine molecule, becomes T3, and T3 is the actual Energizer bunny, and that’s what gives you the energy.

That’s what controls your weight. That’s what gets your fluids moving. Is the T3. Well, if you were under stress. Look in the mirror. I’m talking to you. If you’re under stress, then cortisol, one of the primary stress hormones, binds to the T4 so it can’t convert to T3. Also under stress, another hormone called reverse T3 is produced, and that’s really to save us from ourselves.

So under times of high stress, your body’s going into a famine or a war. Your body will create the high amounts of reverse T3 to bind into the T3 receptor sites, but they have very little biological activity, so it shuts down your metabolism. And that way, you save fat, you save energy so that you can live through the famine. Now, that’s awesome. However, most of us aren’t yet living through a famine. We are in a state of having too much to eat and having too much to drink, etc.

So that inability to convert T4 to T3 throws everything off about 50 percent, excuse me, of people who were given eighty three supplement along with a T4 supplement said they felt much better so that it was actually 56 percent in the study that I saw. So that’s a big deal. OK, so we’re back on barometers. Remember, and about how to get your fluids moving? Well, the adrenal glands play a role in that, too. They control your urination.

00:22:58:22

The hormone aldosterone controls your sodium to potassium balance. And so if you have two highest sodium level, you’re going to retain more fluid to try to balance that. And once again, you can get more swelling. However, the reverse can happen. You can have too much potassium, and then that’s another issue. At any rate, these adrenal hormones are very, very critical at maintaining homeostasis and balance in the body, including fluid levels.

OK. All right. Thank you. Next question.

00:23:35:26

Can I talk about the shingles vaccine? Generally, my wife won’t let me talk about vaccines at all because it’s the quickest way to get banned from whatever you’re doing. However, with the shingles vaccine, I will say a couple things because it’s not really on the front lines right now. It was a few years ago when the newer vaccine came out Shingrix to replace. I think it was Zostavax. There was a lot. There was a lot in the news. And now there’s just everybody doing vaccine work is looking at other vaccines, obviously, and shingles have kind of fallen by the wayside a little bit now.

But, as in many things in medicine, this is a double edged sword. So Shingrix has a much higher rate of preventing shingles. That’s what its its purposes. Well, it looks like well over 90 percent, whereas Zostavax was very low, maybe 50 60 percent. Don’t quote me on those numbers, but it was a big disparity. But on the other side, Zostavax didn’t have very many side effects. And Shingrix has a much, much higher level of side effects, including Guillain-barré and other problems.

So it’s really a two, a two edged sword, and I can’t give you advice on vaccines at all legally. And I’m not. I’m just saying, do your homework, check them out, check out your risks and take any side effects seriously. Now we have a vaccine reporting system, which is very, very, very bad. It’s it’s horrible. The estimate is one percent. This is from Harvard. They did a study. Harvard University. Those people in Massachusetts. And they came up with a number that one percent, one percent of vaccine injuries actually gets reported. Now there are a bunch of reasons for that. One of the big things is it’s really a pain in the rear to write up the report, right? It takes time. You have to sit down and do this relatively complex report. If you’re a mainstream medical doctor, you as an individual can also report to the VA system, Baier Press.

00:25:59:25

And I highly recommend you do if you think you have any vaccine related problem, because if you don’t report, it doesn’t get reported many years ago. 15 to 20 years somewhere in that thing, there was a new vaccine that came out for rotavirus and I was working in office with the chiropractor. There was a screaming screaming from the front room and she ran back, got me said, Can you come check this little kid? And I said, Sure. And so she was a little little tyke.

I don’t remember how old is just screaming. And so I took out my stethoscope and I listened to her abdomen and I said, Take your daughter to the emergency room now. Don’t wait two minutes. Take her to the emergency room now because there were no bowel sounds. And that can be a sign of a condition condition called intussusception, where the part of the intestine gets stuck up into another part of it. And then nothing can get through the very dangerous condition. They did.

She did have anti-secession, and they said, I’m sure this is related to the vaccine she got. The doctor said, Yeah, no way. I looked at the list of vaccine side effects and it’s not on there, so I’m not going to report it. Within six months, I saw two other kids who had the same problem. Two of them, they were able to, in the emergency room, manually open up the problem with the small intestine. The third kid had to have surgery. None of those were reported to the vaccine system.

I don’t remember. I don’t do time well. Six months a year later, that vaccine was taken off the market because it was proven to cause that problem. So again, if you have a problem or your kids have a problem, be sure to cause you as a as an individual can report to that system. And that’s the only way it becomes anything close to accurate. OK, so shingles, you know, it’s kind of. 50 50. You want to take the one that’s more effective. Or the one with fewer side effects.

I will say that what got me to study this years ago and again, I have not been looking into it recently, was that the Shingrix had an adjuvant in it that I’ve never seen used in a vaccine. So an adjuvant is to put a hyperdrive on the vaccine. So let’s say I’m making up numbers here. It would take 10 molecules of the vaccine to cause a significant reaction to cause some effectiveness.

Well, with an adjournment, you might be able to use two drops of that molecule, and the adjuvant would kick the immune system into overdrive and you’d get an immune reaction with much less of the actual vaccine. So there are lots of reasons why that’s preferred by pharmaceutical companies. But the adjuvant that was used and Shingrix when I looked at it, as I mentioned, was a adjuvant I had not seen used before, and I wasn’t real wild about it from my understanding of what it was.

Now I actually looked at this question a little while back and I went online and spent about 20 minutes trying to find out what’s actually in that vaccine now. And it’s really hard to find out. But the number one it says on the sites is, don’t use this if you’re allergic to any of the components or chemicals in the vaccine, but you can’t find out what’s in it. Right? So again, kind of tricky. So I apologize that I don’t have a real clear suggestion on that. Let’s see. Oh God, here it is.

00:29:52:22

So again, as my patients know, often the simplest of questions requires the longest answers and sometimes really complex questions you can answer very quickly. The things about diet, sometimes the answers are very short, but this one what can be done to help tinnitus? sometimes pronounced tinnitus, tinnitus that ringing in the ears a tinnitus is very common at a really, really low level.

In fact, almost everyone will have it if they were on a quiet enough space. It’s just not significant enough that they notice it, typically. Now, the issue with helping tinnitus is the same issue that’s critical with all of life, all illness, all health regulating issues, and that is diagnosis. The list of potential causes for tinnitus is longer than my arm. It can be anything from a sclerotic blood vessels where the blood vessels are getting hard, they’re getting stiff, you’re getting atherosclerosis or phlegm like deposits, cholesterol. The plot pauses in the blood vessels, or they’re simply getting hard. They’re getting calcified. Those are a couple and those are supplying blood to the nerves and to the ear, and that can be a cause. The most common cause actually is age related hearing loss. And that’s often not associated with that. The fact that my hearing is getting worse seems to trigger some of the tinnitus. Now that’s important for several reasons.

And the bottom line is, as I’m talking about this, if you have tinnitus, you need to go get a very, very good diagnostic procedure because it’s actually potentially much more dangerous than it might seem. So a if it’s hearing loss hearing loss that is often not very well noticed that most of you have older relatives and you go to a restaurant, you try to talk to them and they can’t hear you. They can’t understand you at all or you’re in watching TV with the TV with them. And they’ve got the sound turned up to 90 and you hear it fine at 10:00.

Right. So that’s usually age related hearing loss. So that can trigger tinnitus. OK, that’s fine. However, that age related hearing loss is also implicated in dementia. poor hearing really is a trigger and a stimulator for dementia because anything that causes people to withdraw socially, physically keeping distance during the pandemic, any of those things will increase dementia risk. So as people start to tune out, you know, they get embarrassed. They don’t want to keep saying, Can you repeat that for me again, honey? I didn’t quite catch that. And so what happens is they tend to withdraw, and that withdrawal really increases dementia risk so you don’t want to go there.

But again, the causes it can be nutritional in men. A very high percentage, 30 40 percent respond to high quality folate, five l methyl tetrahydrate folate, which is the kind of final form of folate. But B12 deficiencies can cause it, and so can iron deficiencies. So and zinc deficiencies can play a role, too. So simple vitamin and mineral deficiencies can be major issues listening to too much rock music.

00:33:40:11

Being a rock drummer when you were growing up, those damage to the inner ear, the cochlea in the middle ear also, or they can damage the cilia, the little fine hairs that float in fluid and respond to nerve image, nerve impulses and cause what we call hearing right. It’s really a neurological thing. To further complicate things, sometimes it isn’t the ear at all. There have been tests done showing that people that are completely deaf, they have no sensory ability to hear at all still experience tinnitus.

So obviously that’s happening in their brain and probably in the hearing or speech center. I don’t know exactly where, but it’s happening, not in the years. It’s happening on a much deeper brain level. So at any rate, the key is to get checked out o drug usage. I don’t mean illegal drug usage. There are. The last time I looked there were there were two hundred and sixty drugs that can cause tinnitus. Ibuprofen playing all ibuprofen pop, a couple of Advil can stimulate tinnitus, so if you have 10 of tinnitus, go find the list of drugs that can cause that.

Find a list of the vitamins and minerals that can cause it and get off the drugs and do some testing for the vitamins and minerals.

00:35:13:25

Kind of a big deal. Let’s see. What’s my next question here? Also coming off of some drugs like benzodiazepines, the drugs that end in Epsom, lorazepam, temazepam, et cetera, coming off of those can trigger a certain level of tinnitus. Also, heavy metal toxicity, certainly mercury and lead at high enough levels can stimulate tinnitus. I suspect it can be stimulated at lower levels than the EPA is suggesting. So again, other things that you want to either eliminate or get tested for in your in your system. OK. Next question. What’s the correct way to dry brush?

00:36:12:00

How and what to use?

OK, dry brushing. Boy, am I glad that came up today because that’s something I wanted to talk about why you do the dry brushing. So dry brushing is used to stimulate its use for a few things, but it’s primarily used to stimulate the lymphatic system. So we know we have the cardiovascular system right. We have the veins in the arteries and that those are stimulated by the compression of the heart and by the compression of the blood vessels.

The arteries actually are the primary pumpers of blood through the system. So there is a system, there’s a pump built in. The lymphatic system does not directly have a pump. There’s no lymphatic heart, for an example. So the lymphatic system for want of a better example is more like this. The what do you call that the cesspool of the body. The plumbing? And so as cells die, as tissues die, as waste products are produced, they will filter into the lymphatic system.

Now they go into the bloodstream, too. But the lymphatic system is one of the primary ways, and we’ve all had experiences of having swollen lymph nodes. And that’s the body’s attempt to keep the offending bacteria or virus from travelling through our system so it gets into the lymphatic system. It will get stuck in those lymph nodes and those will swell and its attempt to protect and attempt to protect the rest of our body.

So it’s very important that we keep that limit moving, I mean, we don’t want it sitting, we don’t want the ah, the our toilet backing up. We don’t want everything sitting around our tissues, so we need to keep it flowing. Lymph is moved by muscular contraction. That’s one of the reasons why doing 10,000 steps a day is so good. You know, we think about cardiovascular stuff, but it’s really just as important that we get the lymphatic system pumping to get that lymph flowing properly.

00:38:30:05

The other thing that stimulates it interesting is very, very light touch. And one way so lymphatic massage, you’re doing very gentle or you can do pumping action, too. There are different different types, but dry brushing where you’re taking a natural bristle brush, never nylon. Because nylon puts little cuts in the skin. A natural bristle brush, which I picked one up at the local hardware store for 10 bucks with a nice long handle. So you can find them pretty easily.

And what you want to do is brush the body in the direction they’ll say toward the heart. It’s actually just below. The sternum is the real target. So from the bottom, you start at your toes and you gently brush up one leg, then you gently brush up the other leg. Make sure to do a really good job in the inguinal nodes around the groin area, where the leg meets the torso, lots and lots of lymphatic glands there. And so you want to brush those up.

There’s a organ in the intestines called the cisterna chyli, where three quarters of the limp from the system drains that from there into the large intestine. So we want to aim for that. And then from the top, you want to start at the top with your fingers up and brush down very gently and again down toward the center of your body. And you do both sides. You do your head start at the top, brush down brush, do your neck down toward the center of your body.

00:40:09:24

Now, just doing it once is awesome. If you do that once a day, it will make a huge difference in your long term health. If you do it twice a day, you’re going to get even more benefits. Some people do it while they’re wet. Generally, I prefer that most people do it while their bodies dry and their reasons for doing each one. But that’s a wonderful question. Now, one of the reasons I’m so excited that it came up now is that as many of you know, we are starting our annual liver flush detox cleanse whatever you want to call it.

00:40:44:27

Those are each slightly different. The detox is slightly different than a cleanse. It’s slightly different than a flush. We’re doing all of them, and we’re starting that a week from Friday, Kathryn. OK, a week from Friday.

If you’ve done it with us before you get in for half price. If you’re new, then check out our our site and we’ll have all the information from the balance. It’s on the balancing point. Dot net. The balancing point. Dot net. All the information’s on there. Now I’ve been doing and or leading some form of liver, gallbladder flush for 50 years. I’m doing this a long time. I’ve done a lot of things that worked.

I’ve done a lot of things that didn’t work. I’ve done a few things that were unbelievably effective. Last year was by far the most unbelievably effective 10 day cleanse flush detox that I’ve ever done. We did some things a little bit differently, and it really, really paid off.

00:41:54:11

So this is critical. We are liver does in the West. They identify well over 400 different functions. It does far more than that in the Chinese medical system. It does massive amounts of things also, but it is the primary organ that is responsible for quote cleaning and quote your blood. It is taking out the waste products, it’s breaking down chemicals, it’s breaking down toxic chemicals, and it’s trying to then dispose of them by utilizing bile and by using your bloodstream, etc. to drive these carry these toxins out of your system. We live in an almost unbelievably toxic world at this point.

00:42:45:25

From top to bottom, the water that we drink, the air that we breathe, the food that we eat full of toxins now, there’s always been a lot of toxicity on the planet, but these are different. These are not microorganisms which are body would fight. These are things that have to get stored in our tissues. They get stored in our fat and that we must clean out our mitochondria. The very, very energy factories in our cells are so brilliantly made that as they get toxic, they shove the toxins over to one side of the mitochondria so they can still work, maybe at 50 percent capacity, but they’re still in there working at some point.

They can’t do it anymore. And so it’s incumbent upon us to do regular now eat well all the time, you know?

Drink well all the time. Stay out and pure fresh air. Do some forest bathing. Get out in the forest, et cetera, be around greenery. All of those things are helpful. It isn’t enough. If you live in a city in the United States at least once a year, you need to clean your liver very thoroughly. And this program that we’re doing again, I rarely claim to do stuff that’s. Better than someone else.

And I’m not saying we’re doing this better, but I’ve never seen anything more effective. And it’s fascinating. Usually, if you do a program and as a practitioner, I’ll sit down with couples that are looking at weight loss or, you know, changing their diets. And I have to lecture the men. I said, Look, you’re going to lose weight really, really easily, and you cannot tease your wife or your girlfriend because if you do, I won’t work with you anymore, because men just they lose weight easily. It just falls off. And women, particularly for menopause on, it’s a lot of work.

00:44:45:24

It’s a struggle. Well, I was stunned. I should have known what would happen, but I didn’t quite put it all together. You see women, because of their high estrogen levels, have more liver and gallbladder problems. So estrogen thickens. Bile bile is produced in the liver. It flows down to the gallbladder until it’s needed than the gallbladder pumps the bail. And it emulsifiers fat. But it also carries the waste products down into your large intestine so that they can be eliminated.

And bile is a very precious substance. It is often reabsorbed and used 12 to 18 times. It’s so precious. So, but women have a harder time with that because of the thickening of the bile. So women have far more gall bladder problems, gall bladder removed, et cetera. Gall bladder removal, I think, is still the number one surgery in United States at about a million a year, which, by the way, I’ve only had two patients after have the gall bladder is taken out out of hundreds.

00:45:55:23

There are some very, very clear and simple ways to work with a hot gallbladder. At any rate, so when that bile starts to move in the women because it’s gotten thinner and because of all the things we’ve done to get it to move, including getting them to pass the hepatic stones that they have now, I’ve never heard a doctor talk about a paddock stone, about it being liver. But if you go online and looked up the batting stones, you can see radiological studies all over the place showing these little stones.

00:46:28:18

Well, when those stones are blocking the flow of blood and bile in the liver, you’re in trouble. It’s not moving. So the program, one of the things it does is it gets those bile stones moving and gets the bile moving, which interesting reminds me there’s a condition called hepatic and seth allopathy. So brain inflammation and stuff allopathy caused by the liver. And the primary symptom of that is brain fog right now, typically with Western doctors, they mean when you can’t function, your brain is so shot.

00:47:09:22

But even mild brain fog, which I deal in my pay with in my patients on a daily basis, is primarily a problem of hepatic encephalopathy. The liver is not able to get rid of enough of the ammonia that is building up in the system. So the ammonia basically poisons your brain and so you get hepatic and up allopathy, your brain fog. The answer to that is clean your liver. Pretty, pretty clear cut.

00:47:41:27

So anyway, I hope many of you will and will join with us a week from Friday. Check the website. The balancing point that that we’re doing it now because it’s spring. Everybody wants to do everything you know, to start in January with New Year’s. Unfortunately, that’s not the best time to do this. It doesn’t hurt you to do these several times a year. In fact, I recommend that people do. People do lighter weight ones several times a year, but do a major one, a seven to 10 day at least once a year.

Kathryn, anything else I want to say about that? Registration will start on Thursday, this coming Thursday. Yeah, OK. Registration will start in two days. There are products you do not have to use them. We recommend that you use them. Oh, by the way. And so I was talking about the weight loss. So most men lost a pound or two doing this. We had patients that lost up to 18 pounds, women 14 to 18 pounds because when the bile is thinned and can move, inflammation goes down.

00:48:50:19

When inflammation goes down, the body doesn’t have to hold as much water and fluid. And so the women just picked out lose 14 to 18 pounds. Not not everybody. But it was dramatic to me. So again, two days from today, Thursday will be, you can register, there will be lists of supplements. We recommend them because they work and but I will not be able to go over individual replacements that you want to use.

There will be way too many people for me to, you know, look at a product that Mary Smith sends in. You know that her chiropractors having her take, if you want to take that, that’s fine. Try to see what our supplement does see. But that supplement does, and that’s OK. But we have tested and really worked with our products for a while, and I feel really, really good about them. OK. Any let’s see. Let me check here on. That’s it.

Oh, yeah. Here’s a link to the book. Choo choo choo choo. So just please show the book cover again, and Kathryn has supplied a link so you don’t even have to look for it.

OK, I think that’s it today, a little under an hour. Once again, I can’t thank you enough. I love doing this. I love having you here. I hope you got something of value from this. Oh, by the way, the liver. Program. I will be teaching or Katherine will be teaching every day. It’s not a canned present that we do have a canned one, but this is not it. We will be working every day. We will be personally answering your questions, either email or will take them online.

I’d prefer to take them online. So if you’re with us in person, we’ll just handle it there. We want you to be successful. We really put ourselves out to help you be successful. So I do hope you join us. So for now, this is Dr John again, thanking you for tuning in and I will be back next. Next Tuesday, that’s what it is. Thank you. Be well. Be happy.
